Coach Aaron Woods was born and raised in Beaverton, OR where he starred on the football field and track team for Sunset High School (Ore). After a decorated prep career, Aaron attended Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California. After two standout years at Santa Rosa, Coach Woods received a full ride academic-athletic scholarship to return home and attend Portland State University. Over the course of the next two seasons at Portland State, Aaron would go on to receive multiple All Conference and All American honors, while breaking multiple school records.
Following Portland State, Coach Woods went on to play professionally in both the United Football League and Canadian Football League. As his professional career came to a close, Aaron realized that he wanted to use the knowledge he gained over the years to give back to those in his community.
Today, Coach Woods is a husband, father, owner and head strength coach at Grind Time Fit, located in Beaverton, OR. Through Grind Time Fit, Coach Woods is able to live out his dream of teaching today’s youth the value of strength training and how it can be a catalyst for change in their lives. His passion for training extends far beyond the gym.
